1About these terms

These terms apply when you buy and use The Life In Order Roadmap from Life & Legacy Matters Ltd (company number 17449907), registered office 41a Southwold Drive, Nottingham, England, NG8 1PA ("we", "us", "our").

By buying, you agree to these terms. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we look after your information.

2What you are buying

• One year's access (365 days) to the Life In Order Roadmap, an online workbook at roadmap.alifeinorder.co.uk. You can save your answers, sign in on any device, and download your Roadmap as a PDF and as a backup file.
• 30 Days to A Life In Order, a programme of 30 daily emails to help you work through it.
• An Annual Check-in email before your access ends, and a reminder 7 days before it ends.

A Life & Legacy Review with Kal Kandola is a separate service. You can request one from the Roadmap or the emails; it isn't included in the price.

3Who can buy

The Roadmap is for people aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom, for their own personal use.

4Price and payment

• The price is the one shown at checkout when you buy, in pounds sterling. At launch we're offering an introductory price of £9.97 (rising to £19.97).
• We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged.
• Payment is taken by Stripe through our checkout. We never see your full card details.
• If you use a discount code, these terms apply in the same way.
• A later change in price never affects what you've already paid for.

5Your access

• We email your personal access code within minutes of your purchase, from support@alifeinorder.co.uk.
• Your access lasts 365 days from the date you buy and ends at 23:59 UK time on the end date in your access email.
• We email you 31 days before your access ends (your Annual Check-in) and 7 days before it ends.
• To keep going, buy again. Buying again adds 365 days to your current end date, or to today if your access has already ended. Your code stays the same.
• Your code is personal to you. Please keep it private and don't share it. To share your Roadmap with family or advisers, download a copy for them.
• If you lose your code, email support@alifeinorder.co.uk and we'll send it again.

6Your right to cancel

Normally you have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. The Roadmap is digital content, and your access starts as soon as you buy. By accepting these terms and completing your purchase, you ask for your access to start straight away and agree that the usual 14-day right to cancel won't apply. We confirm this in your access email. Your legal rights if something is faulty are not affected.

7Refunds and problems

• Once your access has started, we don't give refunds for a change of mind.
• If something isn't working, email support@alifeinorder.co.uk. We'll look into it, and for a genuine problem we'll decide on a fair remedy, such as a fix, extra access time or a refund.
• Your legal rights are not affected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement and, in some cases, a refund.

8Your Roadmap and your data

• What you write is yours. We store it only to provide the service, as our Privacy Policy explains.
• Your saved Roadmap is deleted 60 days after your access ends, unless you renew before then.
• Please download your PDF and backup file regularly, especially before your access ends. They are yours to keep.
• The Roadmap advises you not to enter passwords, PINs or full card or account numbers. Please follow that advice.

9The emails

30 Days to A Life In Order starts the day after you buy. If you buy again, you receive it again from Day 1. You can unsubscribe from it at any time using the link in any of its emails; your access isn't affected. We'll still send emails you need about your access, such as your code and the reminders before it ends.

10Not advice

The Roadmap is an educational workbook. It helps you gather information and think through your wishes. It is not legal, financial, tax or medical advice, and it doesn't create a Will, a Lasting Power of Attorney or any other legal document. Decisions about your affairs are yours. For advice on your own situation, please speak to a suitably qualified professional.

11Our responsibility to you

• We'll provide the Roadmap with reasonable care and skill, and as described.
• If we fail to keep to these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses.
• Our total responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid.
• Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer.

12Changes to the service, and closure

• We aim to keep the Roadmap available at all times, but it may occasionally be paused for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
• We may improve the content or features. We won't take away the main features you paid for during your access year.
• If we ever close the service, we'll give you at least 90 days' notice by email and the chance to download everything first.

13Ending access early

• You can stop using the Roadmap at any time (refunds as in section 7). You can also ask us to delete your saved information at any time.
• We may suspend or end your access if you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing your code publicly. We'll tell you why, and give you the chance to download your Roadmap unless the law prevents it.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one in force when you bought, unless a change is required by law. Each version carries its own number and effective date.

15Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you have a problem, please contact us first: most things can be sorted quickly.
